At St Margaret Clitherow, we follow the Read Write Inc programme and the children are regularly assessed to ensure that they progress quickly. The children are placed into a group that is matched to their stage not age where they segment and blend words, read speed words and then apply their phonetic knowledge to reading a text. These texts come home with the children to reinforce even further.
